The Rotary Club of Burbank Noon was proud to participate in a SOAP Project labeling event on July 8, 2026, joining nearly 30 volunteers from across the community in a collaborative effort to raise awareness about human trafficking.
Volunteers gathered to label soaps and makeup wipes that will be distributed to 20 hotels throughout Burbank. The items include information and resources designed to help individuals who may be experiencing human trafficking connect with support services and assistance.
The event brought together a diverse group of community organizations committed to making a difference, including the Rotary Club of Burbank Sunrise, Zonta Club of Burbank Area, St. Francis Catholic Church Peace and Justice Ministry, Burbank Business & Professional Women, and Glendale Soroptimists. Working side by side, volunteers demonstrated the power of service and partnership in addressing critical issues affecting our communities.
The SOAP (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution) Project is a national awareness initiative that places informational labels on hotel soaps and personal care products, providing a discreet way for victims to access help. Through community-based efforts such as today's event, volunteers help ensure that these valuable resources reach locations where they may have the greatest impact.
