The Burbank Noon Rotary Club was proud to recognize Gabriela Sillas as our October 2026 Student of the Month, celebrating her exceptional character, dedication, and positive influence on her school community.
Each month, the club honors an exceptional student from the Burbank Unified School District, and Gaby distinguished herself through her commitment to academic excellence, strong sense of citizenship, and kind, welcoming spirit. Her strong work ethic and consistently positive attitude have made her a valued member of her Bret Harte Elementary School community and an inspiring role model for fellow students.
Gaby was joined at the recognition ceremony by her proud parents, Alfredo and Fidelia Sillas, along with BUSD Superintendent Tom McCoy, Rebecca Harris, Director of Elementary Education, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Bret Harte Elementary School Principal Lucia Bowers.
Also participating in the celebration were Burbank Noon Rotary President Scott Rife and Community Service Chair Cindy Akuin, who helped recognize Gaby's achievements and contributions.
The Burbank Noon Rotary Club is honored to celebrate students who demonstrate excellence both in and out of the classroom. Congratulations, Gaby, on this well-deserved recognition. We wish you continued success and look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the years ahead.
